The second week of TNA’s World Title Series begins with the announcement of four more groups. You have The TNA Originals, Tag Team Specialists, Group X Division and Group Future 4. These particular groups create some interesting pairings and it starts with the fact that in the Tag Team Specialists group you have both of the Wolves participating. Though on this night we would see Davey Richards kick off things verse Matt Hardy, Aiden Oshea meets Kenny King, Abyss and Eric Young would clash, Robbie E battles Eddie Edwards and the night would be capped off with James Storm facing Bobby Roode. Speaking of Robbie E he created a viral video calling out NFL Tight End Rob Gronkowski. This may have to do with the rumors that TNA may have a few TV partners lined up as they are creating content after the series.

Davey Richards and Matt Hardy start off with an excellent match as both competitors used their reckless styles to full effect. There was one moment when Hardy hit a side effect on the apron which send Richards to the ground hard. Richards got momentum with his kicks and suicide dives out of the ring. A few near falls and counters found Richard's going for his strong style finishing move which was reversed by Hardy and placed him in the twist of fate for the pin. Hardy grabs his three points and moves on.

Kenny King grabs a quick victory over Aidan O’ Shea. The match emphasized the brawling styles of both fighters with a bevy of punches and power moves. O’Shea controlled the first portion of the match but soon the finesses of King prevailed. He used a frog splash pin to finish the larger fighter and move on for a quick three points.

The round table discussions were once again at play and really adds to depth of the series. It almost provides a real sports type of feel. The only thing that’s hard to understand is how there aren’t any brawls during these segments. Especially with the way TNA loves to fight outside of the ring. It’s a good thing it's set in this manner because it gives a chance to highlight the characteristics of each of these wrestlers by providing them each with small promos.

Eric Young and Abyss went after it next in the TNA Originals group. With the momentum of EY as of late you would think he would hold the edge. I guess the TNA brass has no issue returning the monster to his “original” form by beating Eric Young. The math was short lived of course because of the limitations of Abyss but the work of EY was as solid as usual. There was a moment when Abyss went for Janice and that allowed Young to gains some offense but it was short lived as eventually Abyss caught Eric in a choke slam to win the match and grab the first three points in the TNA Originals group.

Robbie E is a wrestler that most would say is at the bottom of the totem pole. Though facing  Eddie Edwards he almost became the babyface in this match as it’s hard to see the Wolves advancing in this tournament. There clearly was an emphasis on highlighting this new change of attitude by E and he and Edwards put on a quite the match.  The momentum went to Robbie early who hit a bunch of moves even to the outside of the ring. Eddie took over in the second half of the match and that’s when the near falls started to happen. It looked as if Edwards may just pull off the win but he was hit by the E bomb for a second time to give Robbie the pin. It will be interesting to see how much they begin to push Robbie as this was an upset even though Edwards himself is known more as a tag team partner.

One of the drawbacks on taping something early is you may not know how the storylines will develop. In the match between Crazzy Steve and Mahabali Shera someone forgot to tell him to take the Koyha off his shorts. Even still this match had no chance to of lasting more than five minutes and after a few antics and drop kicks from Steve, Shera took over. He hit Steve with a couple clotheslines before throwing him against the ropes. When Steve tried to counter with a flying attack Shera caught him and pulled him into a sky high for the finish. He grabs the three points and moves on.

The final match of the night was between former Beer Money tag team partners James Storm and Bobby Roode. Things started off going Roodes way until James distracted the ref to give Bobby a low blow. From there Storm grounded Roode with a multiple headlocks and close ranged attacks. Bobby hit a spine buster to regain momentum and then hit a blockbuster shortly after to gain a near fall. James Storm grabbed a chair to entice Roode to take it. After he snatched it out of his hands the referee stopped Bobby from using it only to distract the ref again for Storm to hit him with the cowbell. It didn’t work though as Roode kicked out of the two count and countered the last call with a fisherman's suplex for the win. Roode moves on with his three points and is now tied with Abyss in the TNA Originals group.

The second week of the World Title Series provided just as much entertainment as the last. The creative is doing a very good job blending these storylines with the previously recorded material. There is much anticipation for what's to come as this little concoction by TNA is truly the best thing going on in professional wrestling.
