This is a moment everyone in the Ball Family was waiting for since the days playing for the Chino Hills Huskies in Southern California.

For the first time in their NBA careers, LaMelo Ball and Lonzo Ball faced off, as the Charlotte Hornets and New Orleans Pelicans went at it in the Smoothie King Center.

The first battle between the Ball brothers went for LaMelo, who led Charlotte to a 118-110 win.

'Melo', who was the No. 3 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, was only one assist shy away from a triple-double, recording 12 points, along with 11 rebounds and nine assists off the bench.

The 19-year old made history, as he joined Muggsy Bogues as the only rookies in NBA history to record at least five assists in seven straight games.

On the other end, the oldest brother couldn't really get himself going as well as the rest of the Pelicans roster, finishing the night with only five points, two rebounds, three assists and two turnovers.

This isn't only a tough loss for Ball but for New Orleans, who blew yet another double-digit lead in the fourth quarter to drop their fourth consecutive game.
