Chelsea's Eden Hazard has aimed a small dig towards Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho, just days before the Portuguese renews his rivalry with Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.

Hazard and Chelsea endured a terrible defence of their Premier League title last year which saw them eventually finish 10th.

The Belgium international has seemingly returned to strong form this season and appears to be enjoying his football a lot more. During the early stages of last season, it came apparent that there was somewhat of a disagreement between Hazard and Mourinho and after some disappointing performances to match their results, Mourinho was removed as manager at Stamford Bridge, for the second time in his career.

Hazard aims sly dig at Mourinho

Hazard's comments have come just two days after fellow teammate Gary Cahill also praised their new manager, after admitting that last season was a 'disaster.' Chelsea's league start last year was one of the most surprising things to see, losing nine of their opening 16 league games, left questions to be answered.

However, after the appointment of the charismatic Italian, Hazard's attitude towards life at Chelsea has appeared to of drastically changed as he appears to be the similar form which helped him scope the PFA Player of the Year in 2014/15.

Hazard happy with Conte impact

When asked about Antonio Conte at Chelsea, Hazard responded with signs of positivity towards Conte, but seemed to be thinking about Mourinho in his response.

Speaking to French newspaper L'Equipe, Hazard said: “Conte puts trust in his players and now we are good after an ugly season last year."

“I’ve always been the same player but Conte knows how to treat players having played at the highest level himself.”

Chelsea, just like Mourinho's United have acquired three wins from three this season as Hazard and his teammates travel to South Wales this weekend to face Swansea City.
