Pierre Emile-Hojbjerg believes Southampton have nothing to fear when taking on Inter Milan in the Europa League this Thursday, as they are the 'better side'.
The Saints have the chance to move to the top of Group K, if Sparta Prague fail to beat Hapoel Beer Sheva.
Hojbjerg's confidence
Things are not going well for Inter Milan at present and Hojbjerg believes his side can take advantage of the negative goings on around the one-time Italian giants.
Speaking ahead of the game, the 21-year-old said "If you get a game against Inter Milan, you have to enjoy it." The youngster is no stranger to playing in big games, having played in Bayern Munich's first team. However, for many of these Saints players, European nights against heavyweights such as Inter don't come round too often.
Hojbjerg went on to say it was a "rare moment" to be playing in such a fixture but admitted none of Claude Puel's men were feeling the pressure.
The midfielder cheekily added that "the best team would win" before saying he felt Southampton were in fact the better side.
Inter's current woes
Things have went from bad to worse in recent weeks for I Nerazzurri. Mauro Icardi has fallen out with supporters after his autobiography explained in detail his messy fallout with 'ultras' at the club.
To add to this, Frank De Boer was sacked earlier in the week after just 85 days in the job. The Dutchman couldn't replicate his success with Ajax in his short period of time at the club.
Southampton's progress
Puel's men have won, drawn and lost one game so far in this year's competition and sit second in the group. A win tomorrow would mean Inter Milan remain routed to the bottom of Group K.
If Sparta Prague win their fixture it would mean that they have a significant chance of qualifying with two games to spare.
