Inter Milan visit St. Mary's this evening to take on a Southampton side who will be looking for revenge after the events in the San Siro two weeks ago.
A win could see Southampton go to the top of the group.
Adding to the woe
It's been a poor start to the season for the one-time Italian giants. Captain Mauro Icardi has been embroiled in a vicious spat with sections of the fans. The Argentinian missed a penalty earlier in the season and supporters inside the San Siro were heard laughing and hissing.
The row comes after it was revealed in Icardi's autobiography that he was involved in a heated argument with the club 'ultras' after a game in 2013. Threats were thrown on both sides and the relationship is now severely damaged.
Another problem for Inter, is the fact they haven't currently got a manager. Frank De Boer finally left Ajax in the Summer but only lasted 85 days in his new job in Italy. The club's poor league form is clear to see and De Boer leaves the side sitting in 12th in Serie A. To add to this, Inter are bottom of Group K in the Europa League.
Super Saints
After a rocky start to the season, Southampton find themselves on an impressive run as of late. Before the 0-2 defeat against Chelsea last weekend, Southampton found themselves sporting a record of six games unbeaten in the Premier League.
They were also unbeaten in the Europa League before Inter Milan snatched a 1-0 win two weeks ago in the San Siro. Many Southampton fans feel like they were robbed on that occasion, meaning victory would taste even sweeter this time around.
Charlie Austin will look to get on the scoresheet for the third time in Europe this season.
Injury woes
Despite Southampton's player being confident ahead of this tie, there are a number of absentees who will not feature in one of the club's biggest ever games tonight. Harrison Reed, Alex McCarthy and Jake Hesketh are all sidelined. Cedric Soares and Jeremy Pied are both still missing, allowing Cuco Martina to continue his run in the side. Shane Long and Matt Targett are also set to miss the tie.
Ryan Bertrand made his return from a hamstring injury against Chelsea, meaning youngster Sam McQueen may not get another crack at being first choice left-back.
