Having made a second-leg comeback against Stade Rennais on Wednesday night, Arsenal learned their fate in this afternoon’s draw and will play Napoli over two legs in the quarter-finals of the Europa League.
With the quarter-final and semi-final draws made consecutively, the Gunners will play either Villarreal or Valencia if they qualify from their quarter-final tie.
The first leg of the quarter-final will take place on the 11th April with the return leg being played on the 18th April.
Arsenal and Napoli have only faced each other twice in the club’s histories, which was in the 2013 Champions League group stages where Arsenal recorded a 2-0 victory at the Emirates Stadium as Mesut Ozil scored his first goal for the club before Napoli defeated Arsenal by the same scoreline in Naples.
