Huddersfield Town host Birmingham City at the bottom of the Sky Bet Championship in a massive six pointer for both sides to escape from the drop of the third tier of English Football.

The Terriers suffered yet another loss last time out, this time against Preston North End with the Lilywhites comfortably getting across the line after a 3-0 scoreline. Huddersfield's last win came on the 29th December against Blackburn Rovers in West Yorkshire, since they have failed to win in 12 games in all competitions.

Huddersfield faced Birmingham earlier in the season at St Andrew's Trillion Trophy Stadium in the Midlands, losing by the finest of margins. Gary Gardner gave the home side the lead whilst Isaac Mbenza replied nicely to get the away side level in the 85th minute. But Town were to be left heartbroken in stoppage time, Lukas Jutkiewicz pouncing to grab all three points.

Town's last league game in the second tier of English football against Preston at Deepdale resulted in a concerning defeat. A goal from Brad Potts in the first half, and two second half goals each from Ched Evans and Scott Sinclair, gave the Lancashire side an easy win with no troubles whatsoever.

The Terriers were poor all over the pitch. Manager Carlos Corberan will be calling out for a reaction in one of the biggest games of their current season. Currently Town sit in 19th spot, seven points the difference amongst themselves and the danger zone.

  • What team is Corberan likely to name?

The Terriers boss has provided a fresh injury update confirming there are no new injury concerns after the 3-0 loss at Deepdale last weekend. Josh Koroma isn't expected to be back until the middle of April. Rolando Aarons is still out but will be back before Koroma and at the same time as Harry Toffolo

Richard Stearman's progression is positive but he is still likely to miss out against the Blues. Yaya Sanoga is going to need more training before he can start but may be an inclusion last minute. Town could welcome back Jaden Brown who missed the previous clash with a one match ban, after being sent off late at Pride Park. Isaac Mbenza looks likely to feature up top for Corberan's troops.
