A place in the League Two automatic promotion spots is up for grabs on Saturday afternoon when Sutton United welcome Northampton Town to the VBS Community Stadium.

Sutton currently occupy third spot in League Two on 43 points with Northampton two points behind on 41 in fourth.

Team news

Sutton boss Matt Gray almost has a fully fit squad to choose from aside from a few minor injury and illness issues.

Coby Rowe and former Cobblers winger Harry Beautyman both missed The U's clash with Colchester United in midweek and are unlikely to feature on Saturday.

As for Northampton, manager Jon Brady has no new fresh injury concerns and confirmed on Thursday that forward Benny Ashley-Seal has returned to training.

Predicted lineups

Sutton United (4-4-2): Bouzanis, Kizzi, Milsom, Eastmond, Goodliffe, John, Boldewijn, Smith, Bugiel, Olaofe, Randall.

Northampton Town (4-3-3): Roberts, McGowan, Horsfall, Guthrie, Koiki, Lewis, Sowerby, McWilliams, Pinnock, Connolly, Zimba.

Isaac Olaofe will be one for the Cobblers defence to keep an eye on come Saturday afternoon.

The striker is Sutton's joint-top scorer this season with six goals in 17 appearances.

Olaofe has impressed for The U's since being loaned out by Championship side Millwall and was influential in his sides win over Colchester on Tuesday night with a brace on the way to a 3-2 victory for Sutton.

As for Northampton, Mitch Pinnock will be the danger man for them on Saturday afternoon.

The winger, who has been described as 'Postman Pinnock' by the club's Twitter account swapped assists for a goal last weekend when he earned his side a point in the 95th minute against Forest Green Rovers.

Pinnock has four goals and nine assists so far this season and has played a huge role in the Cobblers bid for promotion to League One this season.

Previous meetings

The two sides have only ever met once in a competitive game and that was the reverse fixture this season.

It was Sutton who came out on top when the sides met at Sixfields in October when they ran out as 2-0 winners.

This will be Northampton's first-ever trip to the VBS Community Stadium with Jon Brady and his side out for revenge after a poor performance in the reverse fixture.
