Jurgen Klopp has made seven changes to his starting eleven for this afternoon's FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City.

The German was handed the luxury of being able to ring the changes for Wednesday's Champions League quarter-final second leg with Benfica, having secured a 3-1 advantage over their counterparts in Lisbon just eight days prior.

That slender advantage allowed Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, Fabinho and Thiago Alcantara to watch the first half from the bench before being introduced with 30 minutes remaining as Klopp sought to work rhythm into their legs ahead of the date at Wembley with their north-west rivals this weekend.

The quartet have all been named in the starting eleven for this afternoon's game, with Salah returning to the front line to partner Mane and Luis Diaz.

Fabinho returns to the base of midfield - with the Liverpool boss hoping to give his defensive unit the protection they lacked against Benfica. While Thiago also returns to the starting lineup where he'll be partnered with Naby Keita.

It promises to be a big afternoon for the Spaniard as he makes his first Wembley appearance for the Reds after being cruelly stripped of that feat back in February ahead of the League Cup final against Chelsea, when he sustained an injury in the closing stages of warm-up just minutes before kick-off.

Elsewhere, the defensive trio of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Andy Robertson and Virgil van Dijk - who were all handed a rare night off against the reigning Liga Nos champions in midweek - return to eleven alongside Ibrahima Konate and Alisson.
