Tottenham Hotspur left-back Ben Davies insists he's adjusted to life well at White Hart Lane since his move from Swansea City.

No regrets over transfer

For Davies there was no problem making the move from Wales: “It was a big change for me but I’ve settled in well, I like it here and I feel settled and happy. We’ve a good group here, good staff, and my move was all sorted in a couple of months." admitted the 22-year-old, who enjoyed a healthy battle with Danny Rose for the left-back berth last term.

Davies said he'd only visited London once and that was as a tourist but the move has been good for the youngster who is now enjoying life in the capital.

Davies relishing starting spot battle

Talking about the challenge he faces for first team football from Danny Rose, Davies said: “In terms of the playing side, Danny and I have pushed each other on over the last year and we’ve worked hard together to improve each other as players.

“There is always a battle in that situation where you have two players vying for the same position," he added. Saying there would be "no point being here" if there wasn't going to be a fight for places. Davis says it "pushes you on, ups your game" and thinks "it’s done that for both of us".

The Welsh international insists the team are eager for the season to start and have reflected on last season. Davies is hoping him and his side can make significant progress next season, adding: "We need to look forward to next season and focus on getting better.”

The young left-back made the move from Swansea in the summer of 2014, making 85 appearances and scoring three goals. Davies played 29 games in all competitions for Spurs last season before a shoulder injury at Southampton in April ruled him out for the remainder of the season.

Davies and his team-mates will be keen to improve on last season's fifth place finish and qualify for the Champions League. Spurs face a trip to Old Trafford to face Manchester United in the opening game of the 2015/2016 season.
