Reading are looking to start making up the six-point deduction they received this week when they face Nottingham Forest at the Select Car Leasing Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Royals received a six-point deduction on Wednesday after breaching the EFL's profit and sustainability rules. They ended their four-game losing streak just before the break by beating Birmingham City 1-2, so they will hope they can carry that into Saturday's game.

Forest meanwhile have been in great form since manager Steve Cooper took charge, only losing once in the nine games he has been in charge for. They'll be looking for a win that could take them into the top six.

Team news

Reading are hoping that new signing Andy Carroll will be able to make an appearance after signing on Monday, with a place on the bench looking most likely for him.

Manager Veljko Paunovic also confirmed that Andy Rinomhota, Alen Halilovic and Tom McIntyre have returned to training and may also be part of their squad, whilst Jahmari Clarke has picked up an ankle injury and will be unavailable.

Forest's only fresh injury concern is Loic Mbe Soh, who has had another setback in his recovery from a thigh injury, which has left him out of action since the opening day of the season.

Predicted lineups

Southwood; Moore, Dann, Holmes, Yiadom, Laurent, Dele-Bashiru, Rahman, Swift, Ejaria, Puscas.

Nottingham Forest:

Samba; Spence, Worrall, McKenna, Lowe, Yates, Colback, Johnson, Zinckernagel, Mighten, Grabban.

Ones to watch

John Swift

The midfielder has been heavily linked with Premier League side Leeds United over the international break, and it's clear to see why. He already has 15 goal contributions in 17 games in the Championship this season, so who knows where Reading could end up if they can keep hold of him.

Brennan Johnson

The Welshman has been starring for Forest this season on the wing. At just 20 years old, he has been dazzling supporters with his pace and skills, with Championship full-backs struggling to handle him so far.

Previous meetings

The last time these two sides met was back in March when the two sides fought out a 1-1 draw at the City Ground. Forest took the lead when Reading defender Tom Holmes scored an own goal, but Yakou Meite levelled late on to snatch a point.

How to watch

This match is on Saturday, November 20, and kicks off at 15:00 GMT. This game is unavailable to watch in the UK and Ireland but can be live streamed via either club website for those abroad.
