Arsenal vs Bodo/Glimt: Europa League Group A Preview, Gameweek 2, 2022

Arsenal host their first European game at the Emirates in over a year as they face Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt.

After their previous Europa League fixture against PSV was postponed, Arsenal are finally back in European action against Bodo/Glimt.

The Gunners started their European campaign off in Switzerland with a 2-1 win over FC Zurich.

Mikel Arteta's side come into the game off the back of a dominant 3-1 win over North London rivals Tottenham, leaving them top of the Premier League.

Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt have also enjoyed a great start to their Europa League campaign picking up four points from a potential six.

Glimt currently sit second in the Eliteserien, convincingly beating Lillestrom 4-1 on Saturday.

Arsenal

Arsenal are still without long term absentees Emile Smith Rowe and Mohamed Elneny, however Portuguese defender Cedric Soares could be in line to play his first minutes of the season.

Arteta will most likely rotate his squad on Thursday, with players such as Matt Turner, Marquinhos and Eddie Nketiah all set to start the game.

Bodo/Glimt

Midfielder Sondre Fet is a doubt for Bodo/Glimt with a knock to his knee, but Kjetil Knutsen is set to otherwise have a fully fit squad for his sides trip to the Emirates.

Gabriel Martinelli has been one of Arsenal's stand out performers so far this season, having already scored three goals.

The Brazilian winger has worked on his game and looks even better than he did last season. His tricky feet and skillful dribbling will be something the the Bodo/Glimt defenders will need to look out for.
