Manchester United have officially completed the signing of Swedish striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic on a free transfer.

Zlatan joins United on a one-year deal

It is expected that the charismatic striker has a signed a one-year contract, with some reports suggesting that there is an option of a further year.

United announced  his arrival on their social media accounts with a video of Ibrahimovic saying "it's Zlatan time", which was an excellent way to announce such a big signing.

Ibrahimovic became a free agent after his contract with Paris Saint-Germain ended on the 30th June. The striker is said to have had many offers from many different clubs but the striker has chosen United as his next destination.

Choosing United is massive for the club and the striker, when talking about his move to United, was delighted and he says he is excited about playing the in the Premier League for the first time in his career after spending time in a number of different leagues.

Ibrahimovic excited to work with Mourinho again

On his move to United, Ibrahimovic said: "I am absolutely delighted to be joining Manchester United". The forward, who has played in many different leagues, says that he is "looking forward to playing in the Premier League".

Ibrahimovic has worked with Jose Mourinho before and the pair will be reunited again at United. The striker says that he "cannot wait to work with Jose Mourinho once again", as the pair look to try and win trophies together at United.

The striker continued to say that Mourinho is a "fantastic manager", and believes he is "ready for this new and exciting challenge".

Ibrahimovic is a player that will excite United fans, as he is a character on and off the pitch. They will get their chance to see the new singing in action for the first time on the club's pre-season tour of China in three weeks time.
