A struggling Crystal Palace host Champions League chasing Chelsea at Selhurst Park later on this evening.

Palace have lost their last three games, whereas Chelsea have won four out of their last five.

Ahead of the game, we have been looking into the key battles that could decide today’s London derby.

  • Willian v Patrick van Aanholt

Willian has been superb for Chelsea recently, with four goals in four Premier League games since the restart.

Despite his contract running out in less than a month, he has become one of Frank Lampard’s most crucial players in recent games.

This evening he will come up against former Chelsea player van Aanholt.

The Dutchman has made 26 appearances for Palace this season, scoring three goals.

He is known utilising his pace down the left-hand side for the Eagles, so it should be an interesting contest between the two players.

  • Kurt Zouma v Wilfried Zaha

Zouma was very impressive against Watford on Saturday as he came in to replace Antonio Rudiger.

He demonstrated his strong presence in the Chelsea defence and looked very comfortable throughout the game.

Zaha has been linked with a move away from Selhurst Park for a while now with Chelsea being reported to have been interested in him in January, according to the Express.

The Ivorian has bags of quality and skill in his locker, so it could be a tough test for Zouma later on today.

  • Christian Pulisic v Joel Ward

Pulisic has been one of the league’s best performers since the restart, scoring two goals and winning two penalties for the Blues.

He has looked world class on the left for Chelsea and will be keen to end the season on a high.

The American will be up against Ward later, with the right back starting every game for Palace so far since the restart.

Their defence has struggled in recent times, conceding 10 in their last four games, so Ward will be looking to change their fortunes against Chelsea.
