Manchester City are yet to concede at home since the resumption of the league and will hope to continue that record against Newcastle United tomorrow evening as they look to consolidate second place ahead of Leicester City.

It will be a major surprise if the Toon Army continue their recent good form in the league having been unbeaten thus far since the league restarted after tomorrow's match.

Recent Form

Manchester City will want to eradicate their disappointing result against Southampton by keeping up their 100% home record since the restart of the Premier League in June.

Newcastle arrive into this match in excellent form having been unbeaten so far in the league since its recommencement and will be buoyed from their last two results in which they came back from behind twice against West Ham United to earn a point and thrashed Bournemouth 4-1 in their last away match.

Last Time they met

The last meeting between the two clubs was only 10 days ago in the FA Cup where Manchester City comfortably dispatched their opponents two-nil at St James' Park.

Raheem Sterling who has started well since the league restarted was on target that day as was birthday boy Kevin De Bruyne celebrating his 29th birthday by netting from the penalty spot.

In the League however, City dropped crucial points when the race for the title was still on as a late Jonjo Shelvey strike minutes from time earned his side a 2-2 draw last November.

Team News

After six changes from their defeat against Southampton, Pep Guardiola is expected to rotate his side once again to combat the amount of fixtures in a short period of time.

The full-backs are expected to be changed so Benjamin Mendy and Kyle Walker are both set to return. Sergio Aguero is still unavailable after sustaining a knee injury against Burnley. That means Gabriel Jesus is projected to keep his place once again.

Newcastle have a number of injury issues and could be without their most influential players Allan Saint-Maximin and Miguel Almiron.

Jamaal Lascelles and Andy Carroll are also potential absentees who are suffering from respective ankle and groin problems.
