The Gunners weaved their way through Fiorentina's defence with ease for three goals and Miedema's second was gifted from a poor back pass from an Italian defender.
Back in London, the Gunners only managed a 2-0 win despite having 21 attempts against Fiorentina's four.
It was a trademark Little penalty and a second-half Miedema goal that sealed the North Londoners' advancement to the round of 16.

Round of 16, Slavia Praha
The gunners managed a 13-2 aggregate win against the Czech champions to advance to the quarters comfortably.
In Prague, Arsenal triumphed 5-2 with four goals from Miedema and another trademark penalty from Little.
Miedema completed her hat trick in the 39th minute and Arsenal's final goal came from the penalty 20 minutes later.
Slavia Praha's Tereza Svitkova and Mia Persson managed to net two against their visitors in the last 20 minutes of the match against a squad that was too comfortable with their lead.
In the reverse fixture at Meadow Park the Gunners made sure not that make the same mistake and they stamped their dominance with a 8-0 win.
Danielle van de Donk secured her first European hat trick, while her dutch teammate, Miedema, secured her second hat trick of the competition.
Jill Roord joined her Dutch teammates and scored one for herself, plus another perfectly taken penalty from Captain Little.
