West Ham carried on their excellent pre - season form with another win against Premier League new boys Brentford last Saturday with a stunning strike from Said Benrahma securing the victory. Hammers fans will be hoping for more of the same on Saturday when they face the 'Nerazzurri' or better known as Atalanta.

The Bergamo based team will travel to the London Stadium off the back of a 2 - 1 victory when they faced Pordenone. The two teams who will both be participating in European competition next season, will be eager for victory in Saturday's affair.

" A good, good test for us."

West Ham No.1 and Polish international Lukasz Fabianski is thrilled at the prospect of facing Atalanta and seeing the West Ham faithful back in the London Stadium this Saturday. The Polish shot stopper is entering his fourth season as a Hammer and his sixteenth as a player.

"We’re going to be facing a very strong team that has been playing for   some time already at a high level and competing strongly in Serie A, so I   think that will be a good, good test for us." Fabianski told whufc.com

"Getting used to playing in front of our fans again at our home ground is      another nice feeling, because they’ve been missed for a while."

"It will be nice to see them back at the Stadium and it’s our final test before we start the season, against a really strong opponent, so it’s a nice challenge to have."

Cresswell : 'We're looking forward to it'

One of West Ham's veterans and standout performers of West Ham's terrific 2020/21 campaign Aaron Cresswell was delighted at the run out the team got against Brentford,

"There’s still two weeks to go and It was a tough game against a good team, who got promoted last season," he told whufc.com "So it was a good workout for us."

He has came out singing the praises of fellow teammate Said Benrahma after his stunning winner against Brentford. The Hammers left - back has scored many stunning goals for the club himself but was thoroughly impressed with the Algerian's effort against The Bees.

"The goal was fantastic and that’s Said all over. To get in that position, on his right foot, is exactly where you want him.

"He’s done in plenty of times in training and I’m sure he’ll do it again."

He also told whufc.com "We’re looking forward to welcoming back some more of the lads this week – two weeks to go and we’re looking forward to it,"

Lanzini: " We want to give the fans a good season"

West Ham's little Argentinian star Manuel Lanzini has also added that he is excited for Saturday's encounter. He, like fellow team mates Cresswell and Fabianski has enjoyed pre - season so far and has got plenty of minutes so far.

"For us it’s a good result and Brentford played very well. Our focus is on the Premier League and this kind of game is good for us – for our preparation, for the fitness and we need to keep going like this.

We have won four games, but the main thing for us is the preparation." he added to whufc.com

Manuel has always been a fan favourite, and is delighted there will be thousands of fans back in the stadium for Saturday's fixture.

"It’s going to be very good for us, for the fans and the players, because last season we missed this. We missed the fans in the stadium and we want to give them a good season, like the one we had last year. Hopefully we can do that."
