England kept their unbeaten run in qualifying for Euro 2017 going with a 7-0 thumping of Serbia, in a repeat of Saturday's result.

Game of firsts

Five changes were made for this game, with Siobhan Chamberlain, Demi Stokes, Casey Stoney, Jade Moore and Gemma Davison all starting, and both Davison and Parris finally got their first goals for England.

This was Davison's 12th cap for her country and her first goal came a few minutes before half time. She then scored a second almost immediately in the second period and could have had a hat trick, but it was decided that Nevena Damjanović had the last touch and that it was an own goal.

Parris' first cap for England was in the previous game against Serbia, where she almost scored from her first touch. She scored two in this game in the second half, with her last goal being the last of the game.

Other goalscorers

Like Saturday, this was yet another game filled with goals. Ellen White scored, continuing her goalscoring form to make it two in two.

Jill Scott also scored. Her last goal in the Euro qualifiers was against Belgium in April where she rescued a crucial point for England in a disappointing 1-1 draw.

Lionesses roaring towards the Euros

This six pointer win means that England are guaranteed to finish at least second in their group. There are eight qualification groups with all top teams progressing and the six best second place teams automatically qualify. The seventh and eighth best second place teams will have to face each other in a play off to decide who gets the final spot, with hosts the Netherlands automatically qualified.

The Lionesses look set to be amongst those six teams at least ahead of their next game against Estonia.

They kicked off their qualification campaign against Estonia with an 8-0 win, so three points against them looks likely once more. England need a win in that game and at least a draw away at Belgium to finish top of the group. Those games are in September when we will find out England's, hopefully good, fate.
