Burnley have not been faced with a lot of the concerns of some of the other teams in the Premier League during the suspension to the season.

The Clarets are sitting comfortably in 10th place in the table on 39 points, with a healthy 12 point cushion on the relegation zone. In terms of the season's minimum requirement of safety, they are all but there.

However, Sean Dyche's side still have plenty to play for, not least the prospect of securing a second top half finish in three seasons. There is also the outside chance of them securing another top seven finish given they are only four points behind Sheffield United.

Will Burnley's squad be ready for action?

Dyche is not a manager who will have allowed his players to take their eye of the ball during the lockdown period, and Burnley's squad are thought to have returned to proper contact training in good condition.

Fitness then should not really be much of an issue for Burnley. In fact the break has given the likes of Johan Berg Gudmundsson, Matt Lowton and Ashley Barnes time to recover from injury troubles.

Although there is the concern over Chris Wood's fitness ahead of the return, and it will also be interesting to see how Burnley handle the situation with some of the players who are set to be out of contract in the summer.

Then there is the question over whether some of Burnley's key performers before the lockdown will get back to their best form straight away.

The likes of Matej Vydra, Jay Rodriguez, Dwight McNeil, Nick Pope and James Tarkowski in particular were all enjoying rich veins of form in the last few weeks leading up to the 1-1 draw against Tottenham Hotspur.

If those players can come back and show the sort of form they did before the lockdown, then Burnley should be able to enjoy a solid end to the campaign.

Can Burnley maintain unbeaten run?

Dyche was awarded the final Manager of the Month award before the season was suspended. That shows just how well the Clarets were performing having gone on an impressive seven-match unbeaten run in the Premier League.

That run of form saw them secure impressive wins against Leicester City, Manchester United, Southampton and Bournemouth. While Burnley also held both Tottenham and Arsenal to draws in that period.

It was that run of form which saw Burnley expell any potential threat of relegation, which had become a concern following four successive Premier League defeats from Boxing Day to the second week of January.

However, Burnley's chances of extending that unbeaten run have not been helped by their first match back being against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Monday night.

Dyche, though, you expect will be more focusing on the level of performance he can get from his players at City, rather than whether they can actually pick up any points.

After that clash against City though, Burnley face just three other sides who are above them in the table. The Clarets still have to travel to Anfield, but Liverpool might have already secured the title by that stage.

Then there are interesting home games against Sheffield United and Wolves, which could help them close the gap on those two sides in the table.

Burnley's other games see them take on the likes of Watford, Crystal Palace, West Ham, Norwich City and Brighton. So there could be plenty of chances for them to enjoy a strong end to the season.

And of course it will be very interesting to see whether Burnley can continue to be a strong outfit at home without the support of their usual vociferous crowd at Turf Moor.
