Throughout the last few seasons, Chelsea have been known to send many of their players and academy prospects out on loan.

They all play at their respective clubs in the hope that they can get a chance in the first team for the Blues.

Fans have been able to see what success these loans can bring, with the likes of Mason Mount, Tammy Abraham and Reece James all making regular appearances for Chelsea this season.

Chelsea VAVEL takes a look into some of the best players to have spent this season on loan.

  • Conor Gallagher

Chelsea’s academy star spent the first half of the season on the east side of London at Charlton Athletic.

The midfielder scored six goals and made four assists in 26 games for the Addicks.

In January, he ended his loan at Charlton and joined Swansea City for the remainder of the season.

Despite not scoring himself for the Swans, he has provided seven assists for them and will be looking to help guide them back to the Premier League in their play-off campaign.

  • Matt Miazga

Miazga joined the Blues in 2016 but has only made two appearances.

This season he has been on loan at Championship side Reading, where he has featured 24 times in all competitions.

The centre-back has also netted twice during the campaign, which has been hindered by injuries for the American.

  • Marc Guehi

The young centre-back has made two senior appearances for Chelsea this season, with both of them coming in the League Cup.

He spent the rest of the first half of the campaign with the U23s.

Like Gallagher, Guehi joined Swansea on loan at the start of 2020 and has featured 13 times for them this season, including their play-off win against Brentford on Sunday evening.

  • Victor Moses

The Nigerian joined Chelsea way back in 2012 and has previously been on loan at three different clubs.

He joined Turkish side Fenerbahçe last January on an 18-month loan deal and made only seven appearances for them this season.

At the start of 2020, he was reunited with former Blues boss Antonio Conte at Inter Milan.

Since joining, he has featured 15 times for them and has recorded 5 assists.

  • Trevoh Chalobah

Chalobah has spent the 2019/20 season with Huddersfield Town.

Over the course of the campaign, he has made 38 appearances for the Terriers and has scored just the single goal.

The centre-back was vital in Huddersfield’s survival in the Championship this year and at just 21-years-old, he has a bright future ahead of him.
