Jurgen Klopp addressed the media following his side's cruise control-like performance over Mikel Arteta's Arsenal side. Sadio Mane, Andy Robertson and Diogo Jota all helped the Reds overturn a one-goal deficit inflicted by Alexandre Lacazette.

It was an impressive all-round performance from Klopp's men as they continued their 100% start to the season. Joe Gomez and Fabinho, were just two of a number of contenders for Liverpool's 'MOTM' at Anfield

The work rate, intensity and professionalism all on show highlighted exactly why Klopp's men are the team to beat this season.

"It was good. Really good game, I loved each second, didn't like the goal we conceded but the reaction a lot''

Klopp was understandably impressed with his side's dominant display. His side showed why they are going to be the team to beat this season, picking apart a well-assembled Arsenal side.

Liverpool showed their ability to bounce back from setbacks after Robertson gifted Lacazette the opener with a surprisingly out of character error from the Scott.

They may have been no clean sheet for Alisson Becker on the night, but he proved exactly why Liverpool shelled out the money they did in 2018, with two crucial saves deep into the second half when the game was hanging on a knife-edge.

Mane also reeled in the plaudits all night long, as he continued where he left off from last week at Stamford Bridge. His performance from start to finish was fantastic, he was a constant threat down the left, giving Hector Bellerin a night to forget.

"He (Jota) will never forget it and I won't either."

It didn't take long for Jota to introduce himself to Liverpool fans all over the land, his impressive cameo was rounded off when he smashed the ball into the Kop end goal, to put the game beyond any doubt.

Jota, who has been at Anfield for just over a week, looked like a player who had spent the best part of his career in Liverpool colours. His ability and willingness to press gave fans a glimpse of what they can expect to see from the ex-Wolves man in the years to come.

It was a special night for Jota, who certainly won't forget his first reds goal or Jurgen Klopp's hug!

"We have to improve and become consistent and that is all."

Klopp won't be happy with the sloppiness of the goal Liverpool conceded. Clean sheets have been a rarity for Klopp's side post-lockdown, as they've only managed to keep two in their last nine Premier League games.

His side now sit second, right behind Leicester City on goal difference, following their emphatic 5-2 victory over Manchester City on Sunday.

Fabinho caught the eye of many in the middle of the park as he was able to return back to his orthodox midfield position, following Gomez's return to the side. Both looked more like the players we saw for the majority of last season, rather than the ones that came back for the final eight games towards the backend of the season.

''He (Mo Salah) was exceptional''

It was another stellar performance for Liverpool's star man. Although Mane may have grabbed the headlines with his goal, it was Mohamed Salah's all-round play which caught the eye.

It's not often Salah leaves Anfield without his customary goal, but his handling of Kieran Tierney down Arsenal's left was frightening. He bullied him inside and out as he set up Mane for Liverpool's first via the palms of Bernd Leno.

It has been an explosive start to the season for Liverpool's Egyptian, who looks like a man possessed and ready to re-hit his Golden Boot heights of 2019.

''I heard 'sloppy' and in that moment I misunderstood it. So no problem. It is all fine. I didn't see us being sloppy."

Klopp was refusing to have any gloss taken of his side's performance tonight, especially from ex-Manchester United captain Roy Keane. Keane suggested on Sky's Monday Night Football that the showing had a few ''sloppy'' moments in it.

As Klopp approached the interview station he picked up on the comments and was refusing to accept the criticism being given.

Liverpool had been sloppy for the opening goal, but it was a rather routine win on the night for the Reds as they yet again flexed their muscle and showed exactly why they finished out of sight of the rest of Premier League's chasing pack last season.
