Blackpool 3-1 Peterborough United

Blackpool cruised past Peterborough United at Bloomfield Road to move into the play-off places.

Jerry Yates opened the scoring in the first minute, picking up the ball 20-yards out from goal to shoot and find the bottom corner.

On the stroke of halftime, Joe Ward equalised for the visitors with a fantastic volley, past Chris Maxwell, into the bottom corner.

In the 52nd minute, Yates bagged his second of the night as he buried the ball from the penalty spot.

Just six minutes later, Luke Garbutt sealed the victory and the three points as the ball flew into the top corner, taking a slight deflection on the way.

Bristol Rovers 0-1 Swindon Town

Swindon Town climbed above Bristol Rovers and out of the relegation zone in the League One table as the Robins beat Rovers 1-0 at County Ground.

The first half saw a lack of chances from either side as both teams fight for safety.

In the second half,  Scott Twine smashed a free-kick into the wall only for the ball to fall to Jack Payne to fire it home to win the game for the Robins

Burton Albion 1-2 Shrewsbury Town

Shrewsbury Town moved 12 points away from the relegation zone as Burton Albion failed to secure a comeback.

Seven minutes into the first half, Nathanael Ogbeta whipped in a great cross, taking a touch off Curtis Main and looping over Ben Garratt to give Town the lead.

On the other side of halftime, Harry Chapman found space inside the box for the striker to volley the ball with composure to put Town 2-0 up.

However, Sean Clare got one back for Albion just four minutes later.  Cutting in from the right, the midfielder curled a fantastic effort past Harry Burgoyne.

Northampton Town 1-0 Oxford United

Northampton Town secured three very vital points in their bid for safety as the Cobblers climbed outside the relegation zone.

The only major chance of the first half fell to Mark Marshall. The Northampton winger scuffed his shot against the post, stopping the hosts going 1-0 up.

In the 55th minute, Peter Kioso found Danny Rose who played a brilliant pin-point pass through to Sam Hoskins who perfectly finished the team goal into the bottom corner.
