Newcastle United look to make it five home Premier League wins on the bounce for the first time since 2014 as the Magpies host Chelsea in the final match for both clubs before the World Cup break.

Eddie Howe's men extended their unbeaten run to nine matches in all competitions with a penalty shootout victory over Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup and sit third in the table.

Chelsea were dumped out of the cup by Manchester City in midweek and sit seventh in the table, having gone winless in their last four top-flight matches .

This matchup has been dominated by the Blues as they have won four straight against Newcastle without conceding and are unbeaten in their last 19 visits to the North East.

A late decision will made on World Cup-bound striker Callum Wilson, who has been training away from the rest of the team due to illness. Manager Eddie Howe will assess his condition before naming his final team.

Joelinton is back following a ones match ban.

Paul Dummett, Ryan Fraser and Matt Ritchie are all out with calf injuries while Emil Krafth (knee) and Alexander Isak (thigh) are also sidelined.

Chelsea

Jorginho took part in training as the midfielder continues to recover from a foot issue and boss Graham Potter is hopeful to have him available for seletion.
