AFC Bournemouth host Everton for the second time in four days as both teams play their final Premier League match before the season pauses for the World Cup.

The Cherries ran out 4-1 winners against the Toffees in the third round of the EFL Cup on Tuesday with Jamal Lowe, Junior Stanislas, Emiliano Marcondes and Jaidon Anthony all getting on the scoresheet.

League play has not been kind to either side as of late with Bournemouth winless in five, including four straight defeats and Everton winning just once in their last six outings.

With the Toffees 16th in the table and the Cherries 17th, a win would be crucial for both teams' survival chances.

Team news

AFC Bournemouth

Captain Lloyd Kelly is set to miss out again due to the ankle injury he suffered in training in September and while he has made good progress in his rehab, this match has come too soon for him.

The Cherries have no other injury concerns to deal with interim manager Gary O'Neil proclaiming defender Jordan Zemura fit after getting treatment following a challenge from Anthony Gordon.

Chris Mepham is suspended following his fifth yellow card of the season against Leeds last weekend.

Everton

The Toffees midfield will receive a boost as Amadou Onana and Idrissa Gueye are set to return after missing out with ankle and thigh problems respectively.

Striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin is out with a hamstring injury which means ex-Brighton man Neal Maupay will start up front.

Likely line-ups

AFC Bournemouth: Travers; Smith, Rothwell, Senesi, Fredericks; Tavernier, Lerma, Cook, Billing; Moore, Solanke

Everton: Pickford; Mykolenko, Tarkowski, Coady, Coleman; Doucouré, Garner, Iwobi; McNeill, Maupay, Gray

Key players

Marcus Tavernier (AFC Bournemouth)

His best performance with the Cherries came last time out against Leeds, scoring his first goal for the club, put in the hard work defensively and took advantage of the space given to him by the full-backs.

Alex Iwobi (Everton)

The club leader with five assists, he brings a creative flair to the Toffees and is closing in on 100 appearances with the Merseyside outfit. His lone goal of the season against Manchester United was of the highest quality.
