The points where almost shared at Craven Cottage in the Premier League with Fulham almost seeing out a well fought draw before the latest Carrington superstar Garnacho slipped the ball past Leno in the 93rd minute.

The result means Fulham stay in the top half of the table while United remain 5th.

Fulham

Leno - 6

Despite conceding twice the former arsenal goalkeeper made a number of solid saves when the scores where level. Perhaps could have done better with the winning goal.

Reid - 5

A natural forward playing out of position at right-back was expected to struggle against the United attack. While he offered a good threat going forward at times, the former Bristol City striker should have done better in the seconds leading up to the winning goal.

Diop - 6

Was never put under sustained pressure at the back and despite conceding twice the West-Ham loanee didn't put a foot wrong in the game.

Ream - 6

Similar to his defensive partner Ream never seemed to struggle with the United attack as well as offering a threat at set-pieces at the other end.

Robinson - 7

Maurading runs overlaping  Willian on the left hand side and creating a number of chances for the home side. Elanga failed to deal with him and was subbed off at half-time as a result.

Palhinha - 8

Another industrious performance from the summer signing. Did very well to keep the United midfield quiet as well as contributing in the attacking third. He linked up well with Pereira and Cairney throughout the game.

Cairney - 7

Playing deeper than his more natural no.10 position in an attacking Fulham lineup. Struggled with the defensive parts of the game and left the defense isolated at times.

Wilson - 5

Failed to have the impact the rest of the Fulham front line and was limited to a long range effort in the first half. Came off on the hour mark for goalscorer Dan James.

Pereira - 8

Playing against the club he was deemed surplus to requirments at and he may have made them think twice in the future. Provided a constant threat for the home side, causing both Eriksen and Casemiro issues.

Willian - 7

Created a number of problems in the first half and made it a very difficult afternoon for Malacia who struggled to contain the ex Arsenal and Chelsea winger. Offered less as the game went on and dissapeared from the game.

Carlos Vinícius - 6

Struggled to fill the shoes of Mitrovic and failed to take any of the chances presented to him. Had good work rate throughout the game and continued to press the United defence for the whole game.

Substitutes

James - 7

Came on for Wilson just before the hour mark and instantly made the Fulham attack more threatening but getting a goal against his former side. A good run with Wales at the World Cup could hopefully help him kick on from this peformance and have an even bigger impact for Fulham in the second half of the season.

Onomah - N/A

Came on in the 92nd minute and have very little time on the pitch.

Manchester United

De Gea - 7

Despite being left out of the Spain World Cup squad the United shot stopper proved he is still one of the best in the league. Made a number of great saves throughout the game and kept the scores level long enough for his teamates to steal all three points.

Malacia - 6

While Willian shone in the first half and shyed away in the second, Malacia did the opposite. Tormented by the Brazilian winger in the first half he produced a solid defensive performance in the second 45 minutes to help give his side the win.

Lindelof - 7

With Varane out injured and Maguire not trusted to play week in week out the Swedish defender certainly made his case to be Martinez's starting partner in the back line.

Martinez - 7

Another solid display from the summer signing. Stepped out of the United backline on a number of occasions to stop Fulham attacks.

Shaw - 7

Dealt with the Fulham attack better than his full-back partner and helped start united attacks off from the back. A solid display that will hopefully give him some confidence going into the World Cup.

Eriksen - 8

Another great performance from the Danish playmaker as he not only opened the scoring by finishing off an attack he started but also regularly created space and chances for his teamates higher up the pitch.

Casemiro - 8

A performance that showed exactly why Casemiro is a world class holding midfielder. Settled into the game straight away and made a number of crucial tackles to stop the growing Fulham threat throughout the game. The combination of him and Eriksen at the base of the United midfield seems to be only getting better.

Rashford - 6

Showed glimpses of qaulity especially when driving with the ball on the counter attack but failed to muster that final bit of quality to properly impact the game. Hopefully a good campaign with England at the World Cup will give him the confidence to score the goals he is capable of.

Fernandes - 7

At times in the game the portuguese midfielder was creative and dangerous and showed why he has over 80 goal involvments in his first 100 United appearances. However, it wasn't a dominating Bruno display that his capable of.

Elanga - 5

Failed to deal with Robinson's overalpping runs in the first half and offered very little in the attacking third. Once he went off Malacia looked more comfetable and United more dominant in the game.

Martial - 6

Made a number of good runs in behind the high Fulham back line that just didn't manifest into good chances and the one he did have he failed to make the most of. A month long break to improve his fitness and work with the manager may be exaclty what the French forward needs to get back to goalscoring.

Substitutes

McTominay - 6

Came on for Elanga just before the hour mark and made United slightly more solid in the middle of the park. Missed a great chance at 1-1 to get himself on the scoresheet but helped get his team over the line.

Garnacho - 8

Came on for the last 20 minutes and did exactly what you would want any attacker to do. He was brave on the ball and drove at the tiring Fulham backline before eventually getting his reward with a determined run to get back Reid and beat Leno in the 93rd minute.
