Leicester City will be heading to the Amex Stadium desperate to pick up three points, being one of just three teams yet to win a game in the Premier League thus far.

Brendan Rodgers is currently under pressure and his position in charge of Leicester is under scrutiny from the fans, which comes after Scott Parker was dismissed by Bournemouth earlier in the week.

The Foxes fell to a 0-1 home defeat against Manchester United on Thursday, keeping them at the foot of the league and mounting more pressure on Leicester boss Rodgers.

A significant lack of movement in the transfer window has opened the door for criticism at the King Power as they have lost key names in Kasper Schmeichel and Wesley Fofana and have only brought in one potential starter this summer in centre back and Fofana replacement Wout Faes.

A win would provide a lifeline for the Northern Irish manager as well as a springboard for the club to gain some much needed momentum.

Brighton have had almost the polar opposite start to this year's campaign, picking up three wins and draw before their maiden loss in the week at Craven Cottage.

The Seagulls remain in the top four despite a 1-2 loss to newly-promoted Fulham.

Despite having lost big names to clubs higher up the table, the Seagulls have acted shrewdly to bring in profit and smart replacements for the likes of Yves Bissouma and Marc Cucurella.

The South Coast side will want to quickly bounce back from their midweek setback with the home advantage and reignite the hope for a European push this season.

Team news:

Brighton:

Experienced midfielder Adam Lallana misses out on facing his former manager at Liverpool with a calf injury.

Graham Potter has stated that he does not expect him to return before the upcoming international break.

Deadline day signing and promising youngster Billy Gilmour could make his debut after he made the switch to the South Coast from Chelsea.

He will be desperate to revive his career after an outstanding start to life in London before then stagnating and struggling to find his way anywhere near the Blues' squad.

Dutch defender Joël Veltman is fit enough to play, however Ecuadorian winger Jeremy Sarmiento is unlikely to feature despite returning to training.

Leicester:

The aforementioned new acquisition Faes could make his debut this weekend after arriving from French side Reims.

Fans will be keen to see whether their summer signing can live up to the heights of departed Fofana.

The Midlands side will be without defenders Ricardo Pereira (achilles), Ryan Bertrand (knee) and Daniel Amartey as the backline is the only area to be hit by injuries so far this season.

Predicted Lineups:

Brighton:

Sanchez; Estupiñan, Webster, Dunk, Veltman, March; Mac Allister, Caicedo, Mwepu; Groß, Welbeck

Leicester:

Ward; Castagne, Evans, Ndidi, Justin; Soumaré, Tielemans, Dewsbury-Hall, Barnes, Maddison; Vardy

Key Players:

Pascal Groß

Not many players have been more influential for their clubs so far this season as Groß has for Brighton.

The German midfielder has already beaten last season's goal tally of two, netting three times for the Seagulls, and is joint top for key passes in the Premier League alongside world class playmakers such as the likes of Kevin de Bruyne and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Sitting top ten in chance creation and passes into the box, the 31-year-old will be instrumental in breaking down Leicester's defence, who have conceded 11 times in the first five games.

James Maddison:

Easily the Foxes' standout player five games in, Leicester will be pinning their hopes of a first win of the season on midfielder James Maddison.

The Englishman has picked up two goals in a struggling team and will be desperate to drag his team away from the relegation spots as soon as possible.

Maddison thrives as the main man, scoring 12 and assisting 8 last year as his side finished 8th in the league.

He will be looking to feed veteran striker Jamie Vardy with his impressive passing, looking to build on his 1.33 key passes per 90 minutes that he has already has.
