Burnley look to extend their lead at the top of the EFL Championship as the Clarets face third-place Sheffield United.

The Lancashire side made it 17 games unbeaten with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Rotherham United with Manuel Benson and Halil Dervisoglu scoring in stoppage time.

Sheffield United also were victorious last time out as a 49th-minute goal from Iliman Ndiaye was enough to see the Blades past Bristol City and a win here would take them up to second in the table.

This fixture has been dominated by Burnley with the Clarets winning seven, Sheffield United three and two draws.

Team news

Sheffield United

James McAtee picked up a knock last Saturday and while manager Paul Heckingbottom hopes he can play, he is listed as doubtful.

Tommy Doyle could also miss out through injury, but Anel Ahmedhodzic returns to the starting lineup after serving a one-match suspension for yellow card accumulation.

Rhian Brewster remains sidelined with a hamstring problem.

The threshold for suspension increases to ten bookings only after the 19th game of the campaign, with Brownhill picking up his fifth in the 19th, and will have to spend a match on the sidelines.

Scott Twine, Ashley Westwood and Darko Churlinov are all expected to miss out through injuries.
