Malmö will welcome Chelsea FC to the Eleda Stadium on tuesday night in what looks to be a difficult match for the hosts.

Malmö will come into the match off the back of a brilliant start to the domestic season that finds them sitting top of the table a point ahead of Djurgarden in second.

Malmö will know that if they want any hope of trying to finish third that they will have to beat Chelsea on Tuesday and hope that Juventus can beat Zenit.

Like Malmö, Chelsea have had a strong start to the season and are currently top of the premier league three points ahead of Liverpool in second.

There was a slight blip when they lost to Juventus last matchday in the Champions league however since then they have won every single including a seven-goal thrashing of Norwich and a three-goal win against Newcastle at the weekend.

Team news

Malmö head coach Jon Dahl Tomasson has got very few injury concerns ahead of the visit from Chelsea. Midfielder Oscar Lewicki and defender Felix Beijmo are the only serious injury doubts.

Meanwhile, Thomas Tuchel has got a bit of an injury crisis starting to unfold especially in attack. Winger Christian Pulisic is still not recovered from injury, while Timo Werner and Romelu Lukaku are still out and likely to miss out against Malmö. However, Mason Mount is available again having missed the match at the weekend due to an illness.

Predicted Lineups

Malmö: Dahlin, Larsson, Ahmedhodžić, Nielsen, Olsson, Pena, Innocent, Pena, Nalic, Colak

Chelsea: Kepa, Rudiger, Chalobah, Sarr, Alonso, Kante, Saul, azpilicueta, Hudson-Odoi, Havertz, Mount

Players to watch

Mason Mount

With both Lukaku and Werner out due to injury, Chelsea have had to find a different source of goals and creativity and that player is Mason Mount.

Although he missed the match against Newcastle, the last time he played for Chelsea against Norwich he managed to score an impressive hat trick as well as playing a key role in the match.

Chelsea will hope Mount can do something similar on Tuesday night.

Antonio Colak

Summer loan signing Antonio Colak from PAOK FC has had a brilliant start to the season and settled in quickly to his new club. He has been so good that he has been involved in 23 of 26 matches for Malmö.

Colak is also the club's outright top scorer managing to score 13 goals so far this season having played 23 times. He is also the joint second highest goal scorer in the league.

Chelsea will know that they will have to be switched on defensively in order to not give Colak any sort of chance to score a goal.

Last time out

The last time these two faced each other was matchday 3 in which Chelsea were comfortable four-nil winners at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea started the match quickly and asserted their dominance. The first goal came in the ninth minute. Thiago Silva crossed a ball into the box from a corner which found Andreas Christensen who smashed a right-footed shot into the top right-hand corner.

Chelsea got their second goal of the game in the 21st minute from a penalty following a foul on Lukaku in the penalty box who had to go off injured and be replaced by Kai Havertz. Jorginho stepped up and comfortably put the ball into the top right-hand corner of the net.

Like the first half, Chelsea came out of the traps quickly and in the 48th minute, they got the third goal in order to secure the win and all three points.

Chelsea won the ball and then Callum Hudson-Odoi led a fast break towards the Malmo goal before passing it to Havertz who stuck the ball in the bottom right-hand corner.

Chelsea were then awarded another penalty in the 57th minute. This time for a foul on Antonio Rudiger. Jorginho stepped up and like his previous spot-kick placed it into the top right-hand corner.
