The Chicago White Sox have had a very bizarre season to this point. But even with a 55-59 record and being ranked 4th in the American League Central, the White Sox probably had their strangest moment of the season Tuesday night in the 16-0 loss to the Rangers.

In a game that had gone completely wrong for the White Sox, seeing Adam Dunn pitch was probably the highlight of the game for home fans at the Cell. John Danks had started the game, and gave up a 9 run lead to the Rangers and gave up 4 Home Runs during those 5 innings. The other relievers gave up another Home Run and gave up 6 more runs in relief. When the team is down 15-0 going into the top of the 9th, it doesn't make any sense to waste the arm of a new reliever.

That's when Adam Dunn got his chance. He only gave up 1 run in his inning of relief, and got out Texas Rangers batters Elvis Andrus, J.P. Arencibia, and Rougned Odor. Dunn will now have bragging rights any time he sees those guys at first base and he can talk about the time that he recorded an out against them while pitching. Dunn will probably not take the mound anymore this season, but it sure was enjoyable while it lasted.
