The Los Angeles Angels' outfielder Mike Trout left Wednesday with some sort of stomach issue. Apparently, Mike Trout has had this stomach issue on Monday and Tuesday. He must have been feeling better and tried to continue to play through it. Grant Green was the pitch hitter for Trout in the fifth and Tony Campana came in to play centerfield in place of trout.  Angels' pitcher Jered Weaver had a stomach bug last week. It is very likely that Trout caught the same stomach bug as Weaver. The inning before he was pulled he dropped a routine fly ball, which is something that Trout doesn't normally do.

Luckily, the Angels have already clinched the AL West. So Trout, not playing won't put the Angels out of the playoffs. Also, the Angels have an off day tomorrow. This will give Trout an extra day to recover and rest. Plus, depending on the severity of the illness Trout could still be back in time and not many any playoff games.

Mike Trout is slashing .290/.380/.53 this season. He also has 35 home runs, along with 110 runs batted in. It's very likely that Trout is named Most Valuable Player award, as he could very well be in line to pick up a Silver Slugger Award, as well.  He's one of the best hitters in the game, especially at a very young age. The Angels will need him during the postseason, especially of they want to go far this year. If they don't have Trout in the lineup and healthy, they may not make it.
