Los Angeles Angels MVP candidate Mike Trout left Wednesday's game against the Oakland Athletics with stomach illness. However, he is back for Friday's game.

Grant Green came on for Trout in the fifth inning with the team leading 3-0. Many believed Trout suffered an injury earlier in the game. The original prediction was that Trout would return as the playoffs began, obviously, he is back a little sooner than expected.

With Trout back in the lineup, this is a scare for the Seattle Mariners. The Angles take on the Mariners during the last three games of the season. Seattle has slim playoff hopes, with Trout in the lineup, it has only gotten slimmer.

The Mariners are in a must-win situation. They face elimination with a loss and an Athletics win. The Angels can wrap up home-field advantage with a win or a Baltimore Orioles loss.

Trout is hitting .290 with 35 home runs and 110 RBI's. He is the obvious front runner for the American League MVP.
