The Los Angeles Dodgers have pitching, batting power, batting contact hitter, and speed on the base paths. Dee Gordon is the fastest player on the roster, if not the fastest in the league. Gordon thinks he should play in Friday night's National League Division Series Game 1 against the St. Louis Cardinals.

Dylan Hernandez reports, "Dee Gordon says his hip felt fine during workout today; fully expects to play Friday."

The second baseman left the game on Saturday against the Colorado Rockies because of irritation in his right hip. This is the same issue that he had trouble with back in June. He made comments about the fact that many are taking this "injury" too seriously.

The Dodgers will get their offensive speedster back just in time for the National League Division Series to begin. Gordon, along with Cincinnati Reds' Billy Hamilton, are two of the fastest players in the game. He has 64 stolen bases this season, which led the Major League Baseball.

"When he goes, we go," slugger Matt Kemp said of the 26-year-old. "We need him on base to create havoc and keep these pitchers working."

Will Gordon run on Yadier Molina?

Gordon was thrown out 19 times this season and Cardinals catcher Molina will surely challenge him. Molina threw out 21 of 44 runners against him.
