Boston Red Sox outfielder Yoenis Cespedes will be switching his representation from Wasserman Media Group to Roc Nation Sports. He will now be represented by Jay-Z and Brodie Van Wagenen instead of Adam Katz.
Wasserman Media Group also lost Baltimore Orioles' slugger Nelson Cruz earlier this month.
As for Cespedes, he will become the 11th client of Roc Nation Sports and the fourth baseball player to join the agency. He joins New York Yankees' pitcher C.C Sabathia, Seattle Mariners' second baseman Robinson Cano and fellow teammate outfielder Rusney Castillo as the only baseball players to be represented by the agency.
Other Roc Nation Sports clients include NFL players Victor Cruz, Hakeem Nicks, Geno Smith and Ndamukong Suh; NBA players Kevin Durant and James Young; and WNBA star Skylar Diggins.
