Your opponent can't win if they don't score. One of those statements about how defense wins Championships and pitching is always the most important in October.

Carlos Rodon, the White Sox top draft pick from last year, has been looking good in spring training so far this year. On Tuesday against the Los Angeles Dodgers, he led the team through 5.1 innings, allowing 1 run, 4 hits, 2 walks, while striking out two. The only person to get a run off of him was Dodger Centerfielder Chris Heisey, who hit a solo Home Run in the fifth inning. Rodon did earn the win, which was his second win of spring training to move him to 2-0.

The offense for the White Sox was led by none other than Jose Abreu, who pushed his spring training batting average above .500 with an excellent 4-4 day at the plate, including an RBI and 2 doubles. Getting the loss on the mound for the Dodgers was Joe Wieland.

Getting his first save of spring training was right hander Jairo Asencio. He went two innings, giving up only 1 hit, and striking out two.

Next up for the White Sox is a game against the San Diego padres on April 1, meanwhile the Dodgers will be playing against the Kansas City Royals on April 1 as well.
