The Toronto Blue Jays have agreed to a deal with Vladimir Guerrero Jr. according to Jesse Sanchez of MLB.com. The deal includes a bonus of $4.1 million dollars.

At just the age of 16, Guerrero Jr. is 6'2, 220 pounds and is ranked fourth on MLB.com's Top 30 International Prospects. The Dominican native impresses scouts with his raw power and plate coverage. In all of his work outs for scouts, he just simply crushed the ball and hit the ball anywhere around the plate. He is listed as an outfielder but some may question his ability out there. In the minors, he could make a transition to either designated hitter or even first base.

If the name did not sound familiar, it should. Guerrero Jr. is the son of Vladimir Guerrero Sr., who played in the majors for 16-years. In those 16 years, Guerrero Sr. was a nine time All-Star and even won the American League MVP in 2004. Guerrero Sr. actually played for the Blue Jays in 2012 after signing a minor-league deal but would eventually demand a released. There are comparisons between father and son, specifically the power attribute. From 1998 to 2008, Guerrero Sr, had 25 plus home runs in those seasons.

The future is blurry for Guerrero Jr. At only the age of 16, he could eventually become an All-Star like his father of eventually become a bust. It is also unknown where he will begin in the minors. One things for sure, when he gets there, he will have a big impact.
