Los Angeles Lakers’ big man Jordan Hill agrees to remain with the franchise for two more years. Hill will be paid $9 million annually, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.

Hill was a burst of energy off the bench for the Lakers last season. His rebounding and hustle made him a favorite within the Lakers' organization. He was acquired a few years ago from the Houston Rockets in a trade involving Derek Fisher.

Hill averaged a career-high 9.7 points and 7.4 rebounds per game last year. He also shot an efficient 54.9 percent from the field.

With Hill receiving a massive contract, it is seeming less and less likely that Pau Gasol will return to the Lakers, who also re-signed Nick Young to a four-year, $21.5 million deal this afternoon. Further, the Lakers appear to be convinced that Carmelo Anthony will not sign with them as they move forward.

The second year of Jordan Hill's contract includes a team option.
