LeBron James will make his return to Miami on Christmas day as the Miami Heat will host his Cleveland Cavaliers, reports ESPN.
The complete 2014-2015 NBA regular season schedule is set to be released Wednesday at 6 pm Eastern Standard Time on NBATV. The Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Clippers will continue their heated rivalry as they will reportedly square off on Christmas Day as well.
Nonetheless, James returning to South Beach to play against his former team where he won two NBA championships will be the biggest headline. It will be interesting to see how the Miami Heat fans will greet the four-time MVP.
The match-up itself will be very entertaining. The Heat bounced back well after losing LeBron by signing key pieces, including Luol Deng, Josh McRoberts, Danny Granger, and Reggie Williams. They also brought back most of their role players from last season. Therefore, along with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, Miami has enough talent to make the Christmas day game against Cleveland an extremely competitive one.
In addition to these games, the San Antonio Spurs will open their season on October 28 at home against the Dallas Mavericks where they will be presented with their championship rings. It was originally believed that the Spurs would open their season against the Cavaliers, but they will instead take on the team that pushed them to seven games in the first-round of the 2014 playoffs. Also on opening night, the New York Knicks will square off against the Chicago Bulls at home in Madison Square Garden.
