It is August 20 and restricted costless agent Eric Bledsoe still remains on the costless agency market. Bledsoe and the Phoenix Suns are unable to reach an agreement on a deal because of Bledsoe’s demand for a maximum contract.

With both sides remaining far from a deal, the Suns are now attempting to trade the 24-year old, according to Phoenix’s sportscaster Jude LaCava.

I’ll tell you this, and I think this is the first time it’s reported. I do believe in my NBA sources. You can take this to the bank, so to speak, the Suns are now discussing trade possibilities for Eric Bledsoe,” said LaCava.

According to reports, Bledsoe’s relationship with the Phoenix Suns management has been completely damaged. Therefore, the possibility of a trade is widely accepted by the front office.

That’s where the relationship went south in the early weeks last year,” LaCava said when speaking of the Suns organization not giving Bledsoe an extension.

Eric Bledsoe remains the top costless agent on the market, and it has been surprising to everyone that he is still available. A sign-and-trade seems to be the most logical path for the Suns to take since they are unable to give Bledsoe what he wants. At least that way, they can get pieces in return.

Last week, Greg Monroe agreed to accept the qualifying offer from the Detroit Pistons, and many believed that Bledsoe would do the same. However, these new rumors surrounding Eric Bledsoe suggest otherwise.

This Bledsoe situation has been stretching way too long, and the Suns are looking to resolve the issue as soon as possible. They will now need to find trading partners that would be interested in giving Eric Bledsoe a maximum contract.

The Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Lakers were two teams to have interest in Eric Bledsoe before, but it is not known if those teams would renew their interests in him.
