Monday night's matchup between the San Antonio Spurs and the Sacramento Kings was all about DeMarcus Cousins. Cousins dropped 32 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists on a Spurs team who is known for good team defense. We finally saw some of the 2013 Cousins in the matchup, as he shot 12-14.

The Spurs did prevail, however, forcing a late run with help from Kyle Anderson (14 points). Anderson led the Spurs in time played with 30 minutes. The Spurs were without Tim Duncan, as the team distributed well and distributed the scoring well. Leading scorers for the Spurs included Jeff Ayres with 15, Marco Belinelli with 14, and Tony Parker with 13.

The Kings shot 50% on the night in the effort. Rudy Gay scored 18 points on 4-12 shooting (10-12 FT), Landry with 15, and Collison with 14. Sacramento is now 0-3 on the road. Preseason or not, nobody wants to go 0-3 on the road. The Kings are 2-0 at home, and they'll have one more preseason game against the Lakers on the road.

It's not time to freak out, but the Kings generally play far better at home than on the road. Tonight the Kings played well enough to win, but the Spurs just rallied at the right time.
