The Atlanta Hawks have had a troubled history of gaining wins in the AT&T Center but they prevailed this time with a win against the Spurs. Led by PG Jeff Teague's 21 points and a shooting percentage of 51% by the team, a win was most definitely guaranteed.

Mike Scott came off the bench and was on fire for Atlanta as he put up 19 points on 8/8 shooting. Kyle Korver also had a good shooting night as he put up 18 points while going 6/10 from three-point land. Coming off his 21 point game against Charlotte, Paul Millsap put up 15 points and seven rebounds.

Tony Parker led all scorers for the Spurs with 17 points. Boris Diaw was the only starter who was able to score in double figures with 12 points. The Spurs did a great job in the first half of displaying a motion offense by smoothly distributing the ball but let the Hawks get to the basket at will in the second half and it helped Atlanta maintain their double-digit lead. Atlanta was also able to match the Spurs' tactic of knocking down the three-ball.

The Atlanta Hawks will open their regular season up against the Raptors in Toronto on 10/29. The Spurs will open up their season at home - the Dallas Mavericks.
