The Washington Wizards (8-3) will face the Milwaukee Bucks (7-6) Saturday night on the second game of a back-to-back. The Wizards are coming off their best win of the season, as they defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 91-78, while the Bucks are coming off an embarrassing loss to the Toronto Raptors, where they lost by over 40 points 124-83.

John Wall is coming off an unbelievable performance Friday night against Cleveland, where he scored 28 points on 12-of-20 shooting with seven assists, six rebounds, and four steals. This game was very important for Washington as they hadn’t really played a top tier opponent.

Washington’s defense was impressive as they held the offensive oriented Cavs team to 36 percent shooting, 22.2 percent from behind the arc. They also forced 19 turnovers which led to 24 points off those turnovers. The Wizards have to be feeling good with their defense as they head to Milwaukee, where the Bucks are playing their fourth game in five nights and were blown off.

The Wizards are 3-0 on the second game of a back-to-back this season. Wall has elevated his game in these games as he has averaged 26.3 points and 8.7 assists. Of course Washington played the likes of Orlando and Indiana in these games and the Bucks are a little better so far in this young season.

Head coach Randy Wittman had this to say heading into the game, “In this league, you get a good win, you want to follow it up. We've got a chance with a back-to-back going to Milwaukee to really make this a good week for us, win two out of the three.

The Milwaukee Bucks are 4-1 at home this season, with their only loss coming to the Chicago Bulls. Before their tough loss to the Raptors Friday night, the Bucks had won five of their last six games, including wins against the Miami Heat and Memphis Grizzlies. Washington defeated the Bucks earlier in the season 108-97 at the Verizon Center.

The difference in the game earlier in the season was the absence of Bradley Beal, who in his two games since coming back is averaging 16.5 points, 4.0 assists, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.0 steals. Beal has also averaged 24.8 points against the Bucks in his short career which is the highest against any opponent.

The Bucks were run off the floor partly because of fatigue. They won’t use that as an excuse, but it’s understandable with the lack of off days recently. Expect Milwaukee to play with more energy and pride tonight, as they look to avoid back-to-back losses and continue their home winning streak which stands at three games.
