The Washington Wizards came into the game versus the Atlanta Hawks with a surprising 9-3 record. Point guard John Wall has been phenomenal for the team as of late, as he has been averaging 19 points and 9 assists per game this season. 

Atlanta came into Washington with a 6-5 record. Jeff Teague proved to be a vital factor in this game. The Hawks squandered a 10-point lead in the first half while Teague was on the bench but instantly ignited the team once he was inserted back into the game. Teague posted 28 points and was clutch from the costless throw line, as he shot 12-of-14. Paul Millsap had a double-double for Atlanta with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Mike Scott proved to be a great sixth man, as he scored 17 points on 5-for-10 shooting from the field and 2-of-5 from three-point range. Shelvin Mack also scored in double figures off the bench with 13 points.

The Wizards were down 10 with two and a half minutes to go, but they created a surge of three pointers that helped cut the lead to four. The Hawks missed a few costless throws but sunk enough down the stretch to seal the win.

Wizards point guard John Wall posted 21 points and 13 assists. Center Marcin Gortat was a force in the paint, as he also recorded a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Bradley Beal came off the bench for Washington and struggled to find his shot, as he scored 13 points off of 4-for-14 shooting.

The Hawks' next game will be at home against the Toronto Raptors on November 26. The Raptors have an Eastern Conference best 12-2 record. The Wizards will face the Cavaliers in Cleveland on November 26.
