The Brooklyn Nets beat the Cleveland Cavaliers at home 106-98. Joe Johnson put in 20 points, grabbed five rebounds, and dished out nine assists. Brook Lopez also scored 20 points to go along with nine rebounds. The Nets got a lot from their bench.

Jarrett Jack put up 18 points on 6 of 13 from the field, plucked four rebounds, and gave out five assists off the bench. Bojan Bogdanovic added 18 points on 7 of 12 from the field off the bench. Alan Anderson finished with 13 points off the bench.

Nets executed well on offense tonight as they scored 106 points on 46.5% from the field and were also 89.5% on 17 of 19 from the free throw line. The Nets also only let the Cavs score 98 points as the Cavs usually score more than that. This was a big win for the Nets as they are in the hunt for a playoff spot. They are currently a .5 game back behind the 8th seeded Boston Celtics.

For the Cavs, Kyrie Irving led the way with 26 points to go along with three assists, and blocked two shots. LeBron James chipped in 24 points on 8 of 15 from the field, plucked five rebounds, handed out nine assists, and stripped away five steals. Kevin Love put in 18 points on 6 of 11 from the field including seven rebounds. The Cavs did not step up their defense to win this game as they let Nets score 106 points.

The Cavs also did not play as well offensively either as they scored 98 points on 45.7% from the field and were also only 26.7% on 8 of 30 from three-point range. Cavs had a four game win streak, and had won 8 of their last 9 going into this game but did not keep that up losing tonight. They are now 2.5 games ahead of 2nd place in the Eastern Conference as they look to secure that spot with only 8 games left of the season for them.
