Gar Forman and John Paxson on The Hot Seat?

The Chicago Bulls' fan base has had enough with the downward spiral trip this team has taken. The blame has been on many people, except the ones who got them in this situation. Now that the fans are pointing blame at the front office, will the owner finally do something about it?

With the way the Chicago Bulls has been playing this season, it is quite disappointing and frustrating. Players dropping like flies due to injuries, the bench’s production are so low; it will make college benches more suited for this team. With the inconsistency over half the season, there is only one question that the entire Bulls’ fan base wants to know: why are not Gar Forman and John Paxson is not being held accountable or released from his duties yet?

Front Office: The Good, The Bad, and The Worst

As people may know, Bulls owner Jerry Reinsdorf had John Paxson as president of basketball operations, and Gar Forman as the Bulls’ General Manager. Throughout the years, Forman and Paxson are known as the Bulls’ best front office because they create the team through the draft and develop the drafted players. The positive memories that the Bulls’ fans remember of the front office were when they drafted Joakim Noah in the 2007 draft pick, drafting Derrick Rose in the 2008 draft, and hiring Tom Thibadeau in 2011. Forman and Paxson wasn’t for trading players during the season because they believe in the player they assemble for the coach.

For years, Bulls fans have been getting tired of the same pattern of waiting to make moves until the off season begins, as this year has been the last straw and they cannot take much more. Rumors have been spreading the first 2 months into the season that Forman and Paxson were in trade rumors for certain players, and up until now that’s all they have been; rumors. Last season, the fans had bought in that Thibadeau was the reason the Bulls were inconsistent and that they gave up on him and tuned hi out.

While some of it were true, to an extent, the inconsistency carried on into this season. For the most part of the season, everybody wanted to blame the coach for being too soft and not being a hard-nose coach. Then, they blamed the players for not fitting into his system. Now that it’s possible that both the coach and the players are to be blamed, there’s only two people who is the reason the coach cant reach all of his players, the reason why fans are demanding a trade; the two-headed snake name GarPax.

What Will Happen Now?

As the TV ratings drops due to the poor performance by the Bulls, as well as the decreases in the price of Bulls tickets, it would be poetic justice that Forman and Paxson should be under fire by the owner right? Unfortunately, that’s not the case. Reinsdorf sees Paxson as a prodigy and sees no fault in what he does. Forman has stated in recent weeks that he had no hands in what has been happening to the Bulls lately. While it seems like Forman and Paxson are in the safety zone, fans should keep an ear open as the season progresses, for if the Bulls miss the playoffs and the ratings decrease even more, expect Reinsdorf to make some kind of change either from the roster, or the front office. There has to be a time for Reinsdorf to put his foot down and say enough is enough, and judging by how it has gotten this far, it probably will not happen any time soon.
