The Minnesota Golden Gophers beat the Franklin Pierce Ravens 109-57 Thursday night to improve to 2-1 on the season. With the loss, the Ravens fall to 0-2 on the season. 

The Gophers were led by guard Carlos Morris, who scored 16 points 12 of those in the first half. Teammate Nate Mason added 15 to boost the Golden Gophers to the win. Minnesota got 28 defensive rebounds, while making 58% of their shots, The Ravens missed 44 shots, only getting 19 offensive rebounds.

The Ravens were led by Guard Tyler Iacuone, who scored 11 points. Also scoring in double digits for Franklin Pierce was Center Mike McDevitt. Donte Gittens grabbed 6 rebounds, but it was not enough to keep the game close. 

Minnesota stretched their lead to 84-40 early in the second half off of a 23-3 run sparked by Joey King scoring seven straight points.
