Dee Hart will transfer from Alabama to Colorado State, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

Hart was a top recruit out of high school, but he saw little playing time throughout his career at Alabama. He suffered knee injuries in both 2011 and 2012 that limited his time on the field. In February, he was kicked off the team following his arrest on providing false information and possession of marijuana.

In 2012, Hart rushed 88 yards on 21 attempts while also having 2 catches for 18 yards. Hart also had 4 punt returns for 50 yards. Last season, Hart ran for 78 yards and 1 touchdown on 22 carries.

Colorado State is not an odd choice for Hart. Colorado State's head coach is Jim McElwain, who was the offensive coordinator at Alabama from 2008 through 2011. Hart suffered a torn ACL prior to the start of the 2011 season.

McElwain will no doubt welcome a back with the talent that Hart has. The Rams are losing Kapri Bibbs, who ran for 1,741 rushing yards and 31 touchdowns in 2013. Hart would definitely be in the mix once he arrives on campus.

Hart graduated from Alabama this past spring, thus he would not have to sit out for the 2014 season.
