Number 6 ranked Texas A&M took care of business Saturday afternoon in triumphing over SMU 58-6.

This game was never in doubt for the Aggies and was more of making sure they were firing on all cylinders before playing the Arkansas Razorbacks next Saturday in Arlington, Texas.

Kenny Hill threw for 265 yards with two touchdowns and one interception in the first half before exiting with the score 38-3 at halftime. This was the first interception Hill has thrown thus far this season.

Hill also rushed for 57 yards while Trey Williams ran the ball seven times for a total of 66 yards and two touchdowns.

With Speedy Noil out for the next few weeks due to injury Jeremy Tabuyo was able to step into his role with great productivity. He was able to haul in two touchdowns in the Aggies victory to go along with his 80 yards receiving. Tabuyo should see an expansion in his role in the offense while Noil is sidelined.

For SMU this was their first game with interim head coach and defensive coordinator Tom Mason at the helm. The Mustangs were never quite able to get any offense production as they were out gained in total yards 663-241.

The one bright spot for the Mustangs was Garrett Krstich, the fourth different Mustangs quarterback already this season, who completed 13 of 24 passes for 137 yards and was able to extend some plays with his feet.

SMU quarterbacks were under pressure all game long and sacked a total of eight times.

While SMU looks for answers on both sides of the football, the Aggies will have to prepare for a much tougher schedule from here on out.

It all starts next week at the AT&T stadium where the Aggies will face SEC West rival the Arkansas Razorbacks.
