Marshall quarterback Rakeem Cato continues to dominate, as this past week Cato set the NCAA record for most consecutive games with a touchdown pass.

Marshall quarterback Rakeem Cato has forever planted his name in the NCAA record books. 

The senior quarterback on Saturday, set the NCAA record for the most consecutive games with at least one touchdown pass. Saturday's game against FIU, was Cato's 39th consecutive game, beating the previous record held by current Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson who set the record at 38 while playing for NC State and Wisconsin.

Cato has done nothing but dominate at his time at Marshall leading the Thundering Herd to 13 victories in their last 15 games as well as throwing for over 12,000 career yards and 110 touchdowns to just 37 interceptions. 

So far this season through seven games, Cato has passed for 1,912 yards along with 19 touchdowns and six interreptions. At his current pace, Cato will finish the season with 3,277 yards with 38 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. His current QB rating of 161.9 would set a new career high Cato, who had a rating of 147.8 last season. 

The Marshall Thundering Herd (7-0, 3-0) takes on the Florida Atlantic Owls (3-4, 2-1) next Saturday in Huntington.
