The Cleveland Browns signed former Lions wide receiver Nate Burleson to a one-year deal according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Burleson, 32, will now join the Browns for the upcoming season. Last year, the veteran receiver caught 39 passes for 461 yards and a touchdown. After being cut by the Lions in a salary cap move, Burleson found himself without a team.

Cleveland made a smart signing with Burleson. Another one of these low risk, high reward type of contracts that several other players have received. The Browns, who are currently without a quarterback, will now have to find Burleson someone to throw him the ball. After getting rid of Brandon Weeden, it is more than likely that the Browns will draft yet again another quarterback this year.

The 12-year-veteran receiver brings a lot to the table for Cleveland. Leadership and experience are among his top traits heading to Cleveland, something that they haven't really had. Burleson was known for his vocal leadership in Detroit. Besides his strong leadership skills, Burleson has great success on the field as a third round pick.

Throughout his career, Burleson has caught 457 passes for 5,630 yards and 43 touchdowns. Oh, and lots of pizza from DiGiorno's Pizza...
