Don't look now, but the NFL trade deadline is next Tuesday at 4PM EST. As week 8 approaches of the season, many teams could be on the market for someone to help improve their team. The Houston Texans, currently at 3-4, could be one of those teams on the trading block. Chaos broke out on Wednesday morning, when Greg Garber of ESPN, brought up the fact of a possible Tom Brady to Houston trade.

This season has been a minor rebuilding year for the Texans. Led by a new coach, the Houston Texans are having a decent season thus far. Although they let a few games slip away from them, they are not that far behind the division-leading Indianapolis Colts. If the Houston Texans want to remain in the playoff hunt, they should be on the market for someone that could help them out. Perhaps a quarterback by the name of TOM BRADY?!?

Tom Brady has had an inconsistent year. There has been some speculation that his end with the Patriots is near. Tom Brady is an elite quarterback that doesn't seem like he would leave the Patriots. If he does, everybody would be shocked. Although teams always rebuild their roster at some point, the Patriots don't seem like now would be the time to do that. The team sees a lot of potential in rookie quarterback, Jimmy Garoppolo, but Brady is still going to be the man in charge.

A possible Andre Johnson and a first-round pick for Brady was the trade brought up by Greg Garber. There is an absolute need for a quarterback in Houston, but this writer doesn't see Brady heading there. Fitzpatrick has been inconsistent, and Ryan Mallett has yet to receive any playing time. Despite Tom Brady's age, he is still an effective quarterback, and he would be the perfect fit for the Texans if he was traded there. He also has experience with Bill O'Brien and Ryan Mallett which always helps.

For the Patriots, Andre Johnson doesn't seem to be the same old Andre Johnson. As of late, the Texans have been relying on DeAndre Hopkins as their main receiver, and Andre Johnson has had limited receptions. In New England, he could have an impact for them, but this writer doesn't see him lasting very long there. With Brady gone, the Patriots would technically be rebuilding, and Andre Johnson doesn't seem like the veteran wide receiver to help a team rebuild.

The most useful asset for the Patriots, would be the first-round draft pick. There is nothing more important than draft picks when it comes to rebuilding. There is plenty of talent in the draft that could help the Patriots rebuild, but once again, this writer doesn't think they are going to rebuild just yet.

Final Thoughts: Yours truly does not see this trade happening. Tom Brady seems like he is going to stay in New England until the end of his career. Andre Johnson could actually be traded by the Houston Texans, but this writer doesn't see him involved in a big trade like this. It's just time to wait and see what happens at the trade deadline.
